Marlboro offers a township-sponsored recreation program. The township borders Aberdeen Township Colts Neck Township Freehold Township Holmdel Township Manalapan Township Matawan in Monmouth County Old Bridge Township in Middlesex County. Morganville and Robertsville, are two other census-designated communities and unincorporated communities that are located in Marlboro Township. The New Jersey Geological Survey map indicates that the land is mainly composed of cretaceous soil, which is sand, silt, and clay. According to the United States Census Bureau, the total area of the township was 30.45 sq. Marlboro Township was created by the New Jersey Legislature from parts of Freehold Township on February 17, 1848. The 2010 United States Census showed that the township had 40,191 residents. It is part of the New York Metropolitan Area. Marlboro Township is a Township located in Monmouth County, New Jersey.
